Overview
BRING THE BEAT!! MAKE SOME NOOOOOOOOISE!!!! — The theme's tagline in promotional material. "Kewl Tune", known as "Killer Tune" (キラーチューン Kirā Chūn) in the OCG, is an archetype of Tuner monsters introduced in Deck-Build Pack: Phantom Revengers.
Game plan
Kewl Tune is a Tuner-focused archetype. Every monster in the archetype is a Tuner, and every Synchro Monster except "B2B" requires only Tuners as material. Some effects also restrict you to Special Summoning only Tuners. The Main Deck monsters share a few common traits. If one of them would be used as Synchro Material while on the field, you can use 1 Tuner from your hand as material instead. They also have either an effect that gains advantage when Summoned or an effect that Summons themselves. If they are sent to the GY as Synchro Material, they trigger a disruptive effect. The archetype also includes several Quick Synchro options. "Kewl Tune Clip" is a handtrap that can be used on the opponent’s Turn 1. "Kewl Tune Synchro" is a Quick-Play Spell that can be used twice per turn. "Kewl Tune Remix" Tributes itself to gather the proper Synchro materials from the Graveyard. "Clip", "Cue", and "Rotary" can also reveal information about the opponent’s cards when they are used for a Synchro Summon, helping you adjust your plan to the opponent’s future plays.
